Kota Logo Animation

Kota, Thessaloniki

When creating this animated logo, I wanted to capture the artistry and soul of the small Greek ceramic studio run by four passionate women. Their appreciation for crafting by hand and their dedication to traditional techniques inspired me to design an animation that reflects the beauty of their process.

Starting with the studio’s simple line-drawn chicken logo, I envisioned how it could come alive as if moulded from clay. I thought about the fluid, rhythmic motion of a pottery wheel and the meditative transformation of raw clay into something unique and expressive.

Through motion design, I aimed to recreate the tactile, hands-on feel of shaping clay—the textures, the imperfections, and the organic flow that make handmade ceramics so special. For me, this was not just about animation but about telling their story: honouring their connection to tradition, their creative energy, and the artistry they pour into every piece.

This project was a celebration of their craft, bringing a sense of movement and life to a logo that already held so much character.
