Sound Design for Animation
I created this sound design for an animation made by Peter Greeves for the Instagram @loopsequence #loopschallenge. The prompt word was ‘Meadow’.
Peter’s animation was based on Edinburgh’s Meadows park and this inspired me to design a realistic sound design to help sell the idea of what this area of Edinburgh is like.
Though this clip is only around 14 seconds long, I took time to carefully craft a bespoke looping sound design to enhance the visuals. For this, I have been quite literal in my approach to the design and tried to be realistic/authentic to the space, incorporating sounds of birds, traffic, children playing nearby and some bonnie bagpipes - it is Scotland after all!
